Devlog #1- Getting Started
We started this project with the OCAD Game Jam on January 18th, developing some rough assets and controls but mostly figuring out as a team what we want this game to be.
We ended that 6 hour timeframe with a few scrips, models, image textures, and music, and the beginnings of a plan to move forward.
Working on our pitch presentation helped us solidify our direction and having now finished our creative brief, we have a clearer view of our next steps. We have a daunting list of assets that will need to be made, features to implement, and decisions to make, but our team is truly excited to get into the meat of game development.
Next on our agenda:
-Get our basic controls together
-Code in our most important mechanics
-Greybox the environment for testing
-Make some starting models and rigs to work with
-Begin early art and music development
-Gather any outside assets we might need for sound effects
